CONGRATULATIONS and Happy Anniversary to Minisink Valley High School Key Club, celebrating 50 years of service!

A community service club affiliated with the Kiwanis Club of Minisink Valley, MVHS’s first Key Club chapter launched with 11 members. Currently, it boasts more than 100 student members.

“It is a wonderful feeling to see what the students do for the community and how happy and proud they are that they can help others,” said Jodi VanDervoort, club advisor.

A member’s testimonial…

“I’ve been a part of a Key Club since third grade. I’ve always loved the club, but it was only later I realized just how amazing the organization is. I joined the high school Key Club in my freshman year, and decided to go to the Annual Leadership Training Conference during my sophomore year. At this event I became aware of how much this club can impact the world. It is amazing how passionate a bunch of teenagers are about coming together to help their community. After witnessing this, I grew a passion for the club myself. Key Club is truly an amazing club, and I am beyond thankful that Minisink Valley brought it to our school 50 years ago.” — Kaitlin Losauro, junior
