TEN STUDENTS SELECTED FOR OCMEA'S ALL-COUNTY JUNIOR HIGH FESTIVAL ENSEMBLES


Congratulations to the following students for being selected to the Orange County Musical Educators Association (OCMEA) Junior High All-County Festival ensembles:

Kelsi Berghahn, Molly Dubner, Sydney DuPlessis, Riley Grainger, Jonathan Samse, Nathan Samse, Elizabeth Skalski, Sophia Solimando, Hannah Veety and Sarah Zahaykevich.

Students in grades 7, 8 and 9 are eligible to audition for Junior High-All County. The festival takes place May 3 and 4 at the Newburgh Free Academy in Newburgh.

Their directors are Laura Hulle, Pasqua Ventre and Shane Peters from the middle school; and Matt Christy, Tom Stickney, Joe Horner and Danielle Cornacchio from the high school.

OCMEA is an organization of music educators who teach in Orange County and are committed to promoting the understanding and appreciation of music in the lives of students, their families and the community.
